On September 19th, 1958 Elvis leaves Fort Hood on a troop train bound for the Brooklyn Army Terminal in New York. A lot of the young soldiers family, relatives and friends showed up on the platform to wave their loved ones good bye. Elvis surely got his share of farewell kisses. On September 19th the troop train bound for the Brooklyn Army Terminal in New York was scheduled for departure. Elvis spent his last night before leaving in Killeen together with his father Vernon, Anita Wood, Edie Fadal, Lamar Fike, Gene and Junior Smith and Red West.
